Nothing is changed without a source. The failure mode here isn't a broken page — it's someone putting a too-long screw into a striker channel because a table told them it was fine. So a report with a manufacturer page, a manual or a vendor fitment chart behind it gets checked and lands. A report without one goes on the watchlist and the entry gets flagged for verification, which is the honest place for something nobody has confirmed yet.
First-hand beats published. If you own the pistol, mounted the optic and measured something — a plate's deck height, the screw length that actually worked, a thread you checked with a gauge — that is the scarcest data in this whole subject and there is nowhere to look it up. Say so.
Three things the data deliberately won't do, so a correction proposing one gets asked to change shape rather than turned down: no factory sight height asserted per SKU (it varies by production run and the model name won't tell you), no exact prices (bands only — figures rot and a wrong one costs more than a missing one), and no tabulated screw lengths (they depend on your exact stack).
