Moving the Holosun EPS Carry between pistols

Here is what changes from one slide to the next: the plate, the screw thread at each joint, the torque, the tools and any thread trap. 34 kinds of slide, covering 139 pistols, grouped by how the optic mounts and then alphabetically. The screws are not the same on every slideAcross these slides the optic's screws go into 4 different threads (#6-32, 4-40, M3, M4), and the screws from one pistol's box are often wrong for the next. Check the thread for the slide in front of you, and start every screw by hand.

22 of the 34 blocks have a figure marked not on file: no maker publishes it where this site could find it, so the plate maker or a gunsmith is the source. How the data is checked.

Thread trapThe METE's optic lid interface comes tapped M3 or M4, depending on which base is fitted, and Canik sells a screw set for each. Your slide is tapped M3 or M4. No date or serial-number rule from the maker says which a slide has, so there is no shortcut. To tell which, turn an M3 screw in by hand only: if it catches and runs in smoothly, the slide is M3; if it wobbles and never bites, the slide is M4. Never put a driver on a screw that won't start by hand. Screws in the box vary by Holosun K model.

Thread trapTapped M3, not the M4 of the earlier Slimline MOS. The two slim GLOCK cuts look alike but take different screws; mixing them up is the most common cross-threading mistake on slim GLOCKs. Screws in the box vary by Holosun K model. This slide takes M3; check yours match before fitting.
