New to red dots? What footprint, plate, co-witness and the rest mean
Screw thread trapTaurus's manual says to use the optic's own screws only if they are M4 × 0.7 mm, with at least 4 threads of engagement in the slide; otherwise use the two screws that came with the slide cover. Same slide cutThe Taurus GX4 Carry TORO and Taurus GX4 Graphene TORO share this slide's optic cut
(Taurus GX4 T.O.R.O. direct cut), so the optics, plates and screws below are the same for
all of them. What differs between the models is under "On this model", where there is anything.
How this slide mounts an opticMilled for the Shield RMSc pattern, so Shield RMSc and Holosun K optics bolt straight on. Taurus's manual and its parts store list the Riton 3 Tactix MPRD 2, Sightmark Mini Shot A-Spec M3, Shield RMSc, Holosun 407K / 507K, SIG RomeoZero and HEX Wasp for the cut, and the Trijicon RMRcc only with an adapter plate that Taurus sells separately (it says the RMRcc will not work on the GX4 T.O.R.O. without it). The pistol ships with a flush slide cover over the cut, not a plate; the optic and the adapter plate are not included. Taurus gives 8.2 in-lbs for the two screws that hold an optic, with Loctite 242 and a 24-hour cure. It gives no torque for the adapter plate's own screws. Source: ShopTaurus, Taurus GX4 T.O.R.O.
